ich melde mich zurück nach einer kurzen krankheitsbedingten pause, die mich die letzten tage an mein bett gefesselt hat. doch ich kann euch schließlich nicht vorenthalten, was vergangenes wochenende geschehen ist!

am samstag, den 4. februar, war endlich die große fashion show next.17, auf die mein abschlussjahrgang so lange hingearbeitet hat. vor einem großen publikum präsentierten 22 absolventen ihre arbeiten des vergangenen semesters - alles unter dem motto statements. und das war die show ganz bestimmt, ein statement. die kollektionen überzeugten durch vielfältigkeit, innovation, kreativität und vor allem den unübersehbaren ehrgeiz, der hinter allem steckte. ich kann meinen kommilitonen und mir noch einmal herzlichen glückwunsch sagen.

i am back after a short break due to illness which had left me bed-ridden the last couple of days. but after all i can't withhold the last week-end from you, now can i?

on saturday, 4. february, our great fashion show next.17 took finally place under the motto statements. my graduation class and i worked so hard for this day and now we got the chance to present our 22 collections in front of a big audience. and i guess we nailed the motto pretty much since the collections stood out for diversity, innovation, creativity and last but not least unmistakable ambition of every one of us. i can only say congratulations to my fellow students and i.

mit diesem post möchte ich euch mein outfit des besagten tages präsentieren, das ich stilistisch und farblich an meine kollektion angepasst habe. da gelb die hauptfarbe meiner kollektion SOMA ist, entschied ich mich schon relativ früh, ein eigenes gelbes oberteil zu nähen, was ich schließlich auch in die tat umsetzte. bestückt ist es unter anderem mit einigen schleifen, angelehnt an ein paar jacken und details meiner kollektion, die ihr hier sehen könnt. dazu trug ich einen culotte-ähnlichen hosenrock, der den ein oder anderen verwirrten blick auf sich zog. viele wussten zunächst nicht, was sie damit anfangen sollten; war es nun hose oder rock? da griff der ein oder andere doch mal verwundert nach dem plissée-teil, um sich zu vergewissern. Ich hatte einiges zu lachen an diesem abend. an den füßen trug ich wunderschöne schwarze sandaletten, die mit dem besonderen goldenen absatz ein echter hingucker waren. damit es auch draußen nicht zu kalt wurde, entschied ich mich für eine super coole bronze-farbene lange bomberjacke, die natürlich wunderbar ins farbkonzept passte.

but with this post i would like to show you my outfit i wore on saturday which i tried to match in colours and stylistically with my collection. because yellow is the main colour of my collection SOMA, i decided relatively soon to wear a yellow top i would made myself. it has some cute bows on the cuffs to match some jackets and details of my collection which you can see here. i wore a culotte-like devided skirt which soon had all eyes on it. many didn't know what to do to with it; was it a skirt or a pair of trousers? some of them even grabbed the pleated overlap to decide for themselves. i had some good laughs that night. on my feet i wore some beautiful black high-heeled sandals with their own eye-catcher: the golden heel. for the cold night outside i had a super cool bronce coloured long bomber jacket which fitted into my colour concept perfectly.

wie ihr seht, stand alles unter einem goldenen stern an diesem abend, der der krönende abschluss meines dreieinhalbjährigen studiums war.

am ende der show wurde schließlich noch der best graduate 2017 gekührt. diesen titel ergatterte sich anna busch, die mit ihrer kollektion the supper club eine wahnsinns leistung hingelegt hat. gerade in meinen augen ist der sieg völlig verdient, da ich den entstehungsprozess mitbekommen habe und somit auch alle ups und downs aufzählen könnte - und da gab es bei uns allen wohl genügend. umso mehr freue ich mich für anna, dass sie mit ihrer leistung nicht nur uns mitstudenten sondern auch die jury überzeugen konnte.

as you can see everything was under a golden star that night, the crowning completion after three and a half years of studying.

at the end of the show the best graduate 2017 was honoured. that title won anna busch with her collection the supper club. in my eyes a terrific achievement especially because i remember the making of our collections. i could list all the ups and downs - and there are plenty of them. all the more i am happy for anna that she not only convinced her fellow students but also the jury.
