Der Outdoor-Catwalk ist diesen Sommer gefüllt mit bunten Prints. Ihr habt das sicher auch schon bemerkt, wenn ihr in der Stadt unterwegs seid, schließlich ist es ja kaum zu übersehen: Der Trend des Sommers 2017 ist nach wie vor ganz klar der Blumen-Print. Er hält sich nun ja schon wacker seit einigen Jahren auf den Beinen und scheint sich auch noch nicht in die Knie zwingen zu lassen. Gut so, denn meiner Meinung nach ist es einer der schönsten Trends, die man derzeit auf den Straßen beobachten kann!

The outdoor catwalk this year is filled with colourful prints. Surely, you must have noticed that already when you stroll around the city, since you can’t really miss this new trend: Summer 2017 is the year of floral prints. Again. This one has been around for a couple of years now and doesn’t show any signs of disappearing in the near future. Perfect, if you ask me. This is one of the most beautiful fashion trends on the streets nowadays.

Mega Trend Fruit Print

Das neue Jahr hat aber in Punkto Motiven noch einen drauf gesetzt: Von üppigen Blumenbouquets und kleinen All-Over-Prints geht es nun in die fruchtige Richtung. Der Fruit Print mit Wassermelonen, Zitronen, Kirschen oder ganzen Fruchtkörben ist aus der Fashion-Welt derzeit nicht mehr wegzudenken. Dabei funktioniert dieser Trend-Gedanke auf so gut wie jedem Teil, sei es nun mit Patches oder einer Stickerei, einem Print oder schlichtweg nur einer konzeptionellen Farbe. Am beliebtesten jedoch sind die Maxi-Kleider, die meist mit einem knalligen All-Over-Print aus der Menge herausstechen. Auffallend ist die grafische Herangehensweise, die sich als stärkste Stil-Richtung herausgebildet hat und quasi die gesamte Print-Welt dominiert. Dabei werden knallige Töne, Grundfarben und dicke schwarze Outlines verwendet.

Eine Sache, die von der Designer-Perspektive aus betrachtet recht interessant für mich ist, sind die Kombinationen, die auf dem Laufsteg gezeigt wurden. War es nicht noch vor ein paar Jahren verschrien, Farben wie Orange, Pink und Rot zu mischen? Galt das Gleiche nicht auch für unterschiedliche Prints? Gott sei Dank hat sich diese Sperre in den Köpfen mittlerweile gelöst und einem viel aufgeschlosseneren Trend-Gespür Platz gemacht. Genau solche „No Go’s“ sind in meinen Augen nämlich die interessanten Dinge, die es zu brechen gilt!

Mega trend fruit print

This year took the whole subject straight to another level: From lush bouquets of flowers and tiny all over prints to juicy, fruity baskets. Currently it’s impossible to exclude watermelons, lemons, cherries or whole arrangements of different fruits from 2017’s latest fashion. Good thing, though, this trend concept works on almost every item; patches, embroideries, prints or even just conceptual colour schemes. Most important this time of the year is definitely the maxi dress. Often seen with all over prints, they stand out from the mass with an arrangement of gaudy colours. The graphical approach as the leading style is strikingly obvious as it is copied all around the world of fashion. Often used are gaudy tones, basic colours and thick black outlines.

Something which caught my attention from a designer’s point of view, are the combinations you see on the runway. Wasn’t it just a few years ago when you weren’t supposed to combine colours like orange, pink and red? And also no mixing of prints? Thank God this mental barrier has been revoked ever since and made room for a more open taste in fashion. Aren’t those kind of „No Go’s“ the most interesting part which need to be challenged?

Zitrone oder Orange?

Ich habe im Zuge dessen gleich zwei Outfits zu diesem Trend für euch: Ein Maxi-Kleid mit Zitronenprint, in das ich mich augenblicklich verliebt habe und eine „cleane“ Version des Trends in Form einer Rock-Blusen-Kombination.

Das Kleid habe ich mit einem braunen Wickel-Gürtel aus Wildleder kombiniert, dazu orange Pumps, die als Farbtupfer unter dem langen Rock hervorblitzen. Der Taschendeckel ist mit verschiedenen Motiven bestickt, die dem Ganzen nochmal ein richtiges Urlaubs-Feeling verleihen.

Lemons or oranges?

This trend inspired me not to one but two outfits which i’d like to show you: A maxi dress I fell in love with the moment I put it on and a „clean“ version of the fruit trend in the form of a blouse and skirt combination.

I combined the dress with a brown suede wrapped belt and orange pumps which only sometimes stick out under the long skirt as a subtle colour pop. The cover of my cross body bag is embroidered with different kind of motifs which impart the right kind of holiday feeling.

Mein zweites Outfit besteht aus einem mintgrünen Rock und einer Satin-Bluse in Orange. Was mir besonders ins Auge gefallen ist, ist der Schnitt des Kragens: Eine Art angesetzter Kragen, der in einer V-Naht ins Teil eingesetzt worden ist. Hinten gibt es einen schicken Rückenausschnitt und eine Schleife zum Binden. Bei den Farben habe ich mich ganz klar an einer Orange inspirieren lassen, angelehnt natürlich an meinen Zitronenprint aus Outfit No°1. Die Schuhe habe ich dafür sehr zurückhaltend ausgewählt, um den Fokus nicht vom Oberkörper abzulenken.

The second outfit is a mint green skirt and an orange satin blouse. The most striking for me was definitely the cut of the collar: It’s some kind of attached collar in the v-neck seam. The back has a beautiful lower cut and a bow tie. Colourwise, you already guessed it, I got my inspiration from an orange which is perfect together with my lemon dress. My shoes are more of a reluctant type of colour to avoid distraction from the upper part of the body which is for sure more important with this outfit.
