neues auszuprobieren war ja eine ganze zeit lang nicht wirklich so mein ding. ich hab mich einfach nicht getraut, war zufrieden damit, das gewohnte jeden tag zu sehen. das hat sich rapide verändert in den letzten jahren. ich bin immer feuer und flamme, wenn es heißt, etwas neues auszuprobieren, sich mit einem neuen stil anzufreunden oder einfach nur dazuzulernen - in welcher art und weise auch immer.

vor einigen wochen habe ich ein haar-tutorial zu einem afro-hairstyling gesehen und wusste sofort: das musst du auch ausprobieren. meine haare sind von natur aus sehr trocken, frizzy und lockig, deswegen war ich eigentlich auch das perfekte versuchskaninchen. allerdings verleitete mich eine spontane friseuraktion dazu, meine haare in einen bob zu schneiden, die mir jetzt nur noch über die ohren fallen. ich liebe die frisur, jedoch war’s das dann wohl mit dem afro gewesen. dachte ich. ausprobieren wollte ich es aber trotz allem immer noch.

es dauerte ganze zwei tage, bis die haare in kleine stränge geteilt, um strohhälme gewickelt, mit kleinen gummibändern festgemacht, getrocknet und gestylt waren (mein stylist voller eifer: dennis). aber das ergebnis war den aufwand total wert. leicht gesagt für mich; schließlich musste ich nur still sitzen und die nacht irgendwie überstehen, ohne dass mir die strohhälme am ganzen kopf alle haare ausrissen (es war wirklich keine angenehme nacht).

trying out new things had never really been me for a long time. i had always been so content with things i was just used to seeing every day. that changed rapidly over the last few years. fortunately i’m all fired up about trying out new things, acquire a taste for a new style or simply learn more - in whatever way there is.

a few weeks ago i saw this hair tutorial for an afro styling and i immediately knew: i had to try that out. naturally, my hair is very dry, frizzy and curly, which are probably the best conditions for that look. but then, a spontaneous thought crossed my mind while sitting at the hairdresser’s, and i cut off my hair and into a beautiful bob. i mean, don’t get me wrong, i love my new hairstyle. but i guess that’s it with the afro. or so i thought. i still wanted to try it out, though.

it took us two days to separate my hair into small sections, wrap them individually around staws, secure them with elastic bands, dry and style my hair (shoutout to my brave and persevering stylist dennis). after seeing the results, i thought it was all worth the effort. easier said for me, i guess, since my job was to sit still and to somehow go to sleep with straws sticking out all over my head (it was a pretty bad night).

mich erinnerte die frisur mit den roten lippen und der cat-eye-sonnenbrille total an die 50er jahre. in meiner fantasie war ich eine französische lady in paris, die ihren kaffee in einem süßen lokal trinkt und ihr croissant genießt, während sie alle blicke auf sich zieht - die realität sah natürlich etwas anders aus (leider).

perfekt zum make-up und den haaren war die extravagante bluse von shein*, die sie mir freundlicherweise zugeschickt haben. wie viel eine kleine spielerei am kragen und der knopfleiste doch ausmachen kann und das gesamte outfit zu etwas speziellem macht. die bluse passt stilistisch perfekt in meinen kleiderschrank und wird noch zu vielen okkasionen zum einsatz kommen! die passform ist für meinen körperbau ideal. solltest du etwas mehr brust haben, rate ich, eine nummer größer zu bestellen (ich trage S).

the hair, the red lips, the cat-eye sunglasses, it all reminded me of the 50s. in my fantasy, i was a french lady in paris, sitting in a cute cafe, sipping her coffee, eating a croissant, attracting everybody’s attention. let’s face it, the reality was a bit different (unfortunately).

perfect for the make-up and hair styling was this extravagant blouse from shein* who were so kind to send it to me. it’s amazing how much so little detailing in the collar and placket can do to make the whole look unique. the blouse is definitely a stylish new addition to my wardrobe which probably will be seen more often to any occasion. the fit is perfect for my bodytype. if you have a larger chest than i do, i’d recommend to size up (i wear an S).

dazu trage ich einen schwarzen plissée-midi-rock und blau-rote sandalen. ich muss sagen, ich finde immer mehr gefallen an hohen schuhen, obwohl ich sie zeit meines lebens abgelehnt habe. das ist wohl jetzt mein verhängnis, schließlich übt sich jung schneller. naja. besser spät als nie. als kleinen eye-catcher habe ich noch eine blaue halskette unter meinem kragen versteckt. es sieht fast so aus, als würden die finger sie halten, hab ich recht?

ich hoffe dir gefallen mein outfit und die bilder! ich bin so froh, dass wir die vespa gefunden haben, die macht sich geradezu hervorragend in den bildern.

it almost looks like the fingers are holding it

i chose a black midi-length pleated skirt and blue and red sandals. i have to say, i am kinda falling in love with heels at the moment. even though i’ve always refused to wear stilettos. i guess it’s my fate now, since you’re a better learner when your younger, but better late than never, mind you. as a little eye-catcher i chose a blue pearly necklace which i hid under the collar. it almost looks like the fingers are holding is, doesn’t it?

i hope you like the outfit and the pictures! i was so happy to find the vespa, since it’s a great additon to the photos.
