ich finde es jedes mal wieder interessant, wie schnell sich geschmäcker ändern können. es gab eine zeit, da habe ich jeansstoff gehasst, ja fast schon verachtet. mir gefiel weder die farbe, noch der washed look, noch die haptik. ich konnte rein gar nichts daran finden, was ich schön fand. wenn ich jetzt so darüber nachdenke, ist das noch gar nicht solange her. vielleicht zwei jahre, höchstens. das war während meiner schwarz-phase; ich habe nur schwarz getragen. nicht weil ich depressiv oder sowas war, haha. nein, ich konnte mich einfach nicht dazu durchringen, farbe zu tragen. es ist ja schließlich auch viel einfacher schwarz miteinander zu kombinieren. und wenn es in der früh mal stressig wird, fährt man mit dunklen sachen immer richtig.

i find it quite interesting how taste can change. there was a time when i hated denim, yes, i almost despised it. i didn’t like the colour, the washed look, the feel. i couldn’t find a single thing i liked.

when i think about it now, it wasn’t actually too long ago. maybe two years, at the most. it was during my black period. i wasn’t depressed or anything, i just only wore black. i couldn’t bring myself to wear any colour. and it is of course so much easier to mix black pieces together, especially if there is not enough time in the morning. black is always okay.

VON SCHWARZ ZU PASTELL-TÖNEN

seitdem habe ich mich ganz schön gewandelt. man könnte sagen, ich habe eine 360°-wendung hingelegt - nicht nur was meinen geschmack angeht, sondern auch meine persönlichkeit. darüber möchte ich aber heute nicht noch einmal sprechen: in meinem blogpost denim is the new black habe ich bereits einiges darüber geschrieben.

FROM BLACK TO PASTELS

since then i changed quite a bit. i guess you could say i had a 360° spin - not only regarding my taste but also my personality. but today i won’t want to talk about this subject again since i wrote quite a bit about it in my blogpost denim is the new black.

zurzeit befinde ich mich in einer pastell-phase. ich liebe alles was etwas ausgewaschen wirkt; altrosa, washed jeans, hellgelb, weiß, usw. gut für mich, dass diese farben genau im trend liegen, das macht mir das shoppen natürlich umso leichter. dieses outfit heute ist eine homage an meine liebe für ebendiese farben. und weil diese liebe gerade sehr groß ist, habe ich es mir nicht nehmen lassen, gleich zwei outfits dazu zu stylen und zu fotografieren - also freut euch schonmal auf teil II.

at the moment i am in a pastel mood. i love everything faded; hence dusky pink, washed denim, light yellow, white, etc. lucky me, those colours are a trend right now, it makes my shopping experience much easier! this outfit today is a tribute to my love for pastels. and because that love is a big one right now, it was too big of a temptation to resist. i styled not one, but two outfits. prepare yourselves for part II!

HAUPTSACHE JEANS!

jeans im culotte- oder girlfriend-stil sind gerade der renner. auch die karottenhose lässt sich wieder in den läden finden - man könnte also sagen: jeans in jeder form und farbe, hauptsache es sind jeans. ich entschied mich dieses mal für eine jeans-culotte, die mit ihren fransen am beinsaum zu etwas besonders spannendem wird. dazu trage ich ein hellblaues rüschenoberteil mit blumenmuster, das die farbe der lederjacke aufgreift. wie ihr sehen könnt, finden sich zwei hauptfarben in diesem look: blau und rosa. daran orientierte ich mich auch bei den accessoires und griff nach altrosa pumps und einer schultertasche, die beide aus wildleder-imitat sind. rosa wird so also zu einer stärkeren farbe als das hellblau der jeans und des oberteils. dazu noch ein filigranes choker-halsband und eine statement-sonnenbrille - schon ist es das perfekte outfit für den frühling.

seid ihr auch schon im frühlings-modus? ich kann es gar nicht mehr erwarten die blumen blühen zu sehen!

ESSENTIALLY, JEANS!

you can find many different styles of jeans in the shops nowadays - culottes, boyfriend and even carrot trousers found their way back. i guess you could say jeans in every shape and colour - it has to be jeans, though. i decided to go with a culotte which has those frays on the leg hem, making the piece into something special. i wear a light blue frilly top with a flower pattern, taking up the lovely dusky pink colour of the leather jacket. as you can see i went with two main colours here: blue and pink. the latter is also the very colour i chose for accessories, making it more prominent than the light blue of the pair of jeans and top. paring my shoes and shoulder bag in material - imitation suede - and of course in colour. i chose a small filigrane choker and statement sunglasses - and you’re ready to go with the perfect spring outfit.
