as lana del rey announced it in her song, blue jeans and white shirts are two things which will always go together perfectly. the jeans trend is changing currently - finally, after longstanding domination of skinny jeans, she has to make room for other trousers types. popular silhouettes which have been seen on fashion week by top-class designers are flare jeans, marlenes and girlfriend jeans. therefore it is a change promising a lot of freedom concerning shape and colour.
to be honest though, i was never one to give too much about trends and forecasts anyway - i simply wear what i like and that is totally okay.
a few days ago i met with dennis (@_doudoir) to make a few street style pictures. it was so much fun to shoot together and to pick out the outfits. for more of a challenge we tried to go for a shared style. our jeans and the consistent colours of our total look helped us a lot.
important for our styling was to create a look which was suitable for everyday life in a city. of course we mustn't look like twins which is why we thought about a few sophistications: my peg top jeans are a bit shorter than his skinny jeans, i wore a white t-shirt with some kind of pattern on it whereas his shirt was completely white. his accent lay on the jeans jacket, mine was plain oliv green. we had looks which worked perfectly together or alone standing.

wie lana del rey es in ihrem lied schon ankündigte, sind jeans und hemd in weiß und blau zwei dinge, die für immer perfekt zusammen passen werden. der jeans-trend befindet sich derzeit im umbruch - denn nach der jahrelangen vorherrschaft der skinny jeans muss sie nun endlich anderen hosenformen platz machen. angesagte silhouetten, wie sie auch auf der fashion week von hochkarätigen designern präsentiert wurden, sind die flare-jeans, die marlene oder die girlfriend-jeans. es ist also ein wandel, der einiges an freiheit verspricht, was form und farbe angeht.
sind wir mal ehrlich, ich persönlich habe mich ja noch nie so wirklich an trends und prognosen gehalten - ich trage was mir gefällt und das ist auch gut so.
vor ein paar tagen habe ich mich mit dennis (@_doudoir) getroffen, um ein paar bilder im jeans streetstyle zu machen. es hat super viel spaß gemacht, zusammen zu shooten und die outfits auszuwählen. eine kleine extra herausforderung war natürlich auf eine gemeinsame styling-ebene zu kommen. dabei geholfen hat uns schließlich die einheitliche farbgebung und die jeans.
wichtig bei unserem styling war, einen total alltagstauglichen stadt-look zu kreieren. dabei durften wir natürlich nicht aussehen wie aus einem guss, weswegen wir auf kleine raffinessen geachtet haben: meine karottenjeans ist einen tick kürzer als seine skinny, ich trug ein weißes, gemustertes t-shirt, er ein komplett weißes hemd. sein akzent war seine stone-washed jeansjacke, wobei ich eine olivgrüne jacke trug. so trugen wir einzeln, als auch zusammen looks, die funktionierten.
