first look: coat MICÄL

today i have got a brand new design which i want to introduce to you. my new coat MICÄL, i finished a few days ago. it is made out of strong two-layers-laminate that has a water- and windproof layer on the inside. because of the thermofleece lining it is also comfortably warm, regardless which weather.

as an extra i made the lining removable through two reflecting zippers on the inside, which protect you in the darkness and look so cool at the same time. you could wear both layers separately if you like.

you can see a small fabric panel on top of the left pocket. it is partially attached to it and moulds the secret third pocket hidden inside. i like to put my keys or other small things there. put your hands in the pockets and it makes the perfect transition from the green sleeve to the body.

i really enjoyed working with technical materials. i am thinking about using it for my collection this semester. maybe i'll combine it with some flowing, soft fabric. but i will definitely keep you updated and explain everything in detail once i know what i will be doing.

heute habe ich ein brandneues design, dass ich euch vorstellen möchte. meinen neuen mantel MICÄL, den ich vor einigen tagen endlich fertig gestellt habe. er ist aus robustem 2-lagen-laminat gefertigt, das innen mit einer membran beschichtet ist und somit wind- und wetterfest ist. aufgrund des thermo-fleece-futters ist er angenehm warm bei jedem wetter.

als kleines extra habe ich das futter abnehmbar gemacht und hierfür innen zwei reflektorreißverschlüsse eingearbeitet, die nicht nur in der dunkelheit schützen, sondern ebenso gut aussehen. so kann man beide schichten getrennt voneinander anziehen.

auf der linken tasche liegt eine verstürzte grüne stoffbahn auf, die partiell befestigt ist und die dritte, versteckte tasche formt, in der ich gerne meinen schlüssel oder ähnliche kleinigkeiten aufbewahre. steckt man die hände in die taschen ergibt es einen wunderbaren übergang des grünen ärmels zum restlichen mantel.

es hat mir sehr viel spaß gemacht, mit technischen materialien zu arbeiten. ich bin am überlegen, ob ich in diese richtung für meine kollektion dieses semester gehen möchte. dabei würde ich abweisende stoffe verwenden und diese mit fließenden, weichen materialien kombinieren. dazu werde ich euch aber auf dem laufenden halten und alles erklären, wenn ich mich erstmal entschieden habe, was ich mache ;)
