cakes and fashion, how does that work? not really, that's what i thought. but the team behind fadenrot did an incredible job combining those two.

this week i got a little package from anka, who was so kind to send me some of their designs of the new fadenrot-collection "tiny blütenschön". i fell in love with the print immediately.

to return to the cake issue, i would like to tell the story behind the collection: tiny janus is a cake decorater. she does such an excellent job painting the cakes that you can see her art on the designs of fadenrot now. tastes half as good, lasts even longer.

my outfit of the day is somewhat more glamorous, a style i like as well. for that i combine my new blouse with black kind of carrot like viscose trousers. black and white is how we can focus on the colourful print (general rule for everything you want to underline). i decided to wear my black patent-leather boots, which hide under the at an angle cut hem of my trousers.

if you like you can wear the shoulder bag out of bull denim, a robust, heavy denim raw fabric out of cotton. but i think the print works best alone. the bag has the perfect size for me because i have lots of heavy things to carry every day. my sketch book fits in perfectly ;)

i love the quality of the prints. the surface is smooth and shining dully. it is strong enough not to break and doesn't create any bumps on the edges. i can't say anything about the washing behaviour yet but everything is comfy and that's the essential part right now!

it's warm and sunny outside so i grab my sunglasses and my coat - coat? who needs a coat?

torten und mode, wie soll das denn zusammen passen? nicht wirklich, dass dachte ich mir auch als erstes. doch das team hinter fadenrot hat es geschafft, beides auf grandiose weise miteinander zu vereinen.

diese woche erhielt ich ein paket von der lieben anka, die mir einige teile der neuen fadenrot-kollektion "tiny blütenschön" zukommen ließ. ich habe mich sofort in den wundervollen print verliebt.

und um nun auf die sache mit den torten wieder zurückzukommen, möchte ich euch kurz die geschichte hinter der kollektion erzählen: tiny janus ist eine künstlerin, die hochzeitstorten bemalt. sie macht ihre arbeit so gut, dass man ihre wunderschönen blumenbouquets nun auf den designs der neuen fadenrot-kollektion bewundern kann. schmeckt nur halb so gut, hält aber mindestens doppelt so lang.

mein heutiges outfit geht eher in die schicke richtung - einen stil, den ich auch sehr gerne mag. und dafür ist die bluse hervorragend geeignet. ich trage dazu eine schwarze, leicht karottige hose aus viscose, die zusammen mit dem weiß der bluse in den hintergrund tritt und somit dem bunten print platz macht (kleine faustregel für alles, was man betonen möchte). ich entschied mich für meine schwarzen lack-boots, die unter dem schief geschnittenen saum meiner hose hervortreten. so schaffe ich ruhe und abwechslung im material zugleich.

wenn man möchte kann man als accessoire die große umhängetasche aus sogenanntem bull denim, einem schweren jeans-rohgewebe aus baumwolle, der die nötige robustheit mitsichbringt, tragen. der print wirkt, finde ich, allein jedoch am besten. sie hat die perfekte größe für mich, da ich jeden tag viele und große sachen mit mir herumschleppen muss. mein zeichenblock passt schon mal problemlos hinein ;)

die qualität des prints auf den designs ist eins a. es ergibt sich eine glatte, matt scheinende oberfläche, die wenig reißfreudigkeit aufweist. der print beult sich an den kanten nicht aus, sondern geht glatt in den stoff über. zum jetzigen zeitpunkt kann ich leider noch nicht auf das waschverhalten eingehen. auf jedenfall ist alles bequem und das ist vorerst die hauptsache!

draußen ist es warm und sonnig, daher griff ich nach meiner sonnenbrille und meinem mantel - moment. mantel? wer braucht schon einen mantel?
